The Rundown: Google DeepMind is bringing us a step closer to a robot-filled future with their newly launched vision-language-action model, RT-2, that uses internet data for better robotic control.

Key details:

It allows robots not only to understand human instructions but also to translate them into actions.

RT-2 is trained on text and images from the web, allowing it to transfer knowledge to robot behavior, making it capable of "speaking robot."

RT-2 can recognize trash and dispose of it, or pick out objects like a dinosaur figurine when commanded.
